Travel Protection
Travel Protection is not included but is REQUIRED. It is the participant’s responsibility to secure their own coverage. Travel insurance, including “medical evacuation” and optional “cancel for any reason” coverage, is mandatory. Proof of coverage must be provided to Tour Operators at least 30 days before departure. Coverage should include Trip Cancellation or Interruption, Medical Expenses, Emergency Evacuation, and Baggage Protection. This helps protect against losses from non-refundable deposits due to cancellations or interruptions (e.g., illness or injury). It also covers medical emergencies, missed connections, and baggage issues. “Cancel for any reason” coverage must be purchased with your travel arrangements. Without adequate insurance, Tour Operators are not responsible for any resulting losses.
Tour Operators cannot answer specific questions about the terms, exclusions, or conditions of your insurance plan. For inquiries, please contact your insurer or agent directly.
Some countries require visitors to have valid medical insurance upon entry. Tour Operators are not liable for denied entry if you cannot provide proof of insurance. We also strongly recommend insuring your electronic devices. Tour Operators are not responsible for any damage or loss to your equipment.
Destinations and Travel Requirements
Traveling to certain destinations may carry higher risks. Tour Operators advise staying updated on current news and reviewing U.S. government travel warnings, advisories, and entry requirements at state.gov and cdc.gov before booking. Check for COVID-19 requirements, entry regulations, and local travel laws, including medical testing and tracking policies. Compliance with all entry requirements is your responsibility, and Tour Operators are not liable for damages resulting from travel to high-risk destinations.
Documentation
Participants must obtain and carry valid passports, visas, inoculations, and any other required documents. U.S. citizens can find updated information at travel.state.gov. TSA and DHS recommend carrying at least two acceptable forms of ID, listed at tsa.gov. Passports expiring within six months of entry may not be accepted in some countries. Non-U.S. citizens, minors, and infants may require additional documentation, including consent forms for minors traveling without both parents.
Compliance with Laws
Participants must comply with all local and national laws while on tour, particularly those regarding drug use or possession, which are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply may result in removal from the tour. Certain prescription drugs may require a doctor’s note or prescription; it is your responsibility to verify.
Health Requirements
Consult a healthcare provider for recommended vaccinations and medications before travel. Requirements can change, and updates can be found at cdc.gov. Ensure you meet health entry requirements and follow medical advice related to your tour.
Failure to Comply
Failure to meet travel requirements, such as proper documentation or health regulations, may result in denied boarding, delays, or missed flights and tours. Tour Operators are not responsible for advising on documentation or for any delays, losses, or missed portions of the tour due to non-compliance or government decisions.
